Steve Sousa on piano was fantastic! A Boston native with an incredible depth of experience he explained the background and history of each selection… BRAVO! Our server, Ashlin, was phenomenal, high speed and on top of everything through out.
A couple of key takeaways, the bassist Mike Perez was incredible and this trio played straight through from 730 to 915, I’m really used to the band taking a break, but it was very clear that this group simply loved to play and were enjoying the jam session. They even incorporated an outstanding jazz version of We Three Kings! It was a Thursday and we really enjoy going during the week, the tickets are cheaper and the ambiance is very laid back and relaxed. We put together a night at Jazz Texas on three kings day and Steve Soares and his Trio did not disappoint. Incredible music, fantastic drinks, scrumptious food and excellent service.
